Having a look around the RDU area, I found the Greg Finger Band along with CW’s Akoustic Soul-O will be on stage at The Pour House Music Hall, located at 224 S Blount St., Raleigh NC. Music starts at 8 pm and lasts til the midnight hour. Here is what I learned about both artists on the Facebook event page:
Truth be told, I wasn’t a big country music fan growing up…that was, until I was introduced to Zac Brown Band. It was the summer of my junior year in college when I listened to Zac Brown Bands album “Uncaged” for the first time. My heart and my mind instantly clicked. I spent months taking in the sounds and feels of that album. After listening through the album likely 30 times, I thought “This is what I want to do…I want to make music like this.” It was clear to me at that moment where my desires met my gifting. But how was I going to do it?
I started writing songs….lots of songs. I admit most of them were awful at first, but for six months I was a songwriting machine. I wrote over 80 songs. After sharing a few songs with guitar player/background vocalist Duke McClellan and adding him on the tracks, I knew we had something going. Shortly after, Kentucky drummer Zach Adams joined the band along with bassist Austin Vitucci. It is a special thing when you genuinely enjoy hanging out with people you “work” with. I put work in quotes because music has never felt like work me, more like something that is instinctively a part of me. The band is insanely talented, and I really wouldn’t trade making music with these guys for anyone. But, even more than being talented, they get the vision. That is invaluable to me. Coming together very organically, Greg Finger Band has become a really quick success with Duke, Zach, and Austin right at my side.
Fast forward one year, our debut EP has launched, we have spent thousands of miles on the road, and have been writing and playing the best music we ever have – I am excited. Can you tell? We have only scratched the surface of what we are going to do, and I look forward to the journey.

Nick Millevoi is a part of the show happening above and here is what I learned out this player.
Nick Millevoi is a Philadelphia-based guitarist and composer whose music draws upon the influences of avant-garde jazz, modern classical, and rock and roll to create a personal sound. A restless sonic explorer, Nick’s maximizes the possibilities of the electric guitar through frequent use of feedback, raw noise, and non-traditional tunings. As an intrepid composer, Millevoi confronts everything from maximal electric power trio music to chamber music to large-scale improvisation-heavy ensemble pieces, and everything in between.
Be sure to check him out tonight.
